Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 17, 2026

This notice is separate from the general Privacy Policy and governs "consumer health data" as defined by applicable state law, including information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a consumer and identifies past, present, or future physical or mental health status or health-related interests.

1. Consumer health data we may process

A health-related search query, filter, or interaction may reveal or permit an inference concerning a health condition, symptom, diagnosis, treatment, medication, bodily function, reproductive or sexual health matter, health-care provider, insurance matter, or request for health-related products or services. We receive such information directly from the consumer who submits the query or communication.

We may process limited technical connection information, such as an IP address, solely as necessary to route the request, secure the Services, prevent abuse, or comply with law. The current application does not create a browser fingerprint or use health queries to build individual advertising or eligibility profiles.

2. Purposes

We collect and use consumer health data only to provide the search or communication requested by the consumer; maintain security and service integrity; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We do not use consumer health data to determine eligibility for employment, housing, credit, insurance, health care, or another legally significant decision.

3. Sources

Consumer health data is obtained from the consumer's search query, selected filters, optional AI request, form submission, or other direct interaction. Search-result context may be derived from our first-party index and from third-party sources selected by the consumer.

4. Disclosure and sharing

We disclose consumer health data only as necessary to provide a requested service, to processors operating under contractual restrictions, with the consumer's separate authorization, or as otherwise permitted by law.

  • Google LLC. When Google-hosted search is configured, Google receives the query and technical data necessary to return those essential search results. Google advertising remains a separate optional category.
  • Configured AI provider. If AI-assisted answers are enabled, the query and selected context are sent to the provider configured for the Service. Supported providers may include OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, or Google Gemini; only the configured provider receives the request.
  • Infrastructure processors. Hosting, database, content-delivery, security, and technical vendors may process information solely to operate and protect the Services.
  • Legal recipients. Information may be disclosed as required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.

4Internet does not sell consumer health data. We do not share consumer health data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Requesting Google-hosted search directs the particular query to Google; enabling optional AI is a revocable direction to transmit that request to the configured AI provider. Neither action authorizes unrelated use by 4Internet.

5. Consent and changes in purpose

Google-hosted results are part of the essential search service when configured. AI processing and advertising remain disabled unless the consumer affirmatively enables the applicable category through Privacy Choices. Where applicable law requires consent separate from a request necessary to provide the selected service, we will obtain that consent before collection or sharing. We will not materially expand the categories or purposes described here without the notice and consent required by law.

6. Consumer rights

Subject to applicable law and verification, a consumer may:

  • confirm whether we collect, share, or sell consumer health data;
  • access consumer health data and receive a list of third parties or affiliates with whom it was shared;
  • withdraw consent for collection or sharing;
  • request deletion from our systems and notification to processors, affiliates, and third parties as required; and
  • appeal a refusal to act.

Submit a request through the Privacy Request Form and select the applicable request type. We will authenticate a request using information reasonably necessary to protect the consumer. We will not discriminate for exercising a right.

7. Retention and deletion

Application-level identifiable search logging is disabled. Infrastructure security records are ordinarily retained no more than 30 days. Optional AI caching is disabled by default; if enabled, the application stores a one-way query digest instead of the raw query and applies a bounded expiration. A verified deletion request will be propagated as required by law, subject to lawful exceptions and reasonable backup-deletion cycles.

8. Appeals

If we deny a request, the response will state the reason and provide instructions to appeal. An appeal may be submitted through the same Privacy Request Form by selecting "Appeal." If the appeal is denied, we will identify the regulator or attorney general to whom a complaint may be submitted where required.
